EcoChill have appointed Damien Scott to the newly created role of National Sales Manager to further respond to New Zealand’s growing need for zero carbon cooling solutions.

“Many New Zealand businesses remain unaware of increasing shifts in cooling design and construction,” says Matthew Darby, Founder and Managing Director of EcoChill.

“Disruption caused by the critical need for cooling that doesn’t heat the planet has also meant innovations that can increase systems performance and create on-going cost efficiencies.

After years of stagnation, incredible opportunities to rethink the way we cool are available now. We have invested in this new role to support New Zealand business to build clean cooling capability and understand what needs to be considered when investing in cold chain infrastructure.”

Damien has extensive experience supporting customer solution building in technical industries, with over 25 years’ experience in the Information Communication Technology and the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning industries.

After establishing Airepure New Zealand from the ground up 5 years ago, increasing growth saw the business acquired by Camfil AB, one of the world’s largest Air Filtration businesses and where Damien has most recently been in the role of National Sales Manager.

“EcoChill are well known innovators in low emission cooling through natural refrigerant solutions,” says Damien. “Delivering many New Zealand natural refrigerant and low emission technology firsts, they have shown how clean cooling technology is available now that can outperform traditional cooling technology while meeting New Zealand businesses environmental targets.”

Damien’s new role will be working at a senior executive level supporting businesses to establish zero cooling pathways. “Over his career Damien has built a strong track record for quality and delivery and he has a true innovation mindset. I know his skills and talents will enable more businesses to start thinking about how they can deliver cooling with the right outcomes,” said Matthew.

“Damien starting in this new role within a Level 4 lockdown may not have been part of the plan… yet we know this won’t stop us delivering on our mission to accelerate zero cooling for New Zealand.”
