EcoChill have appointed Nathan Harrison to the newly created role of National Key Account Manager and INCOLD product champion within the Commercial and Industrial team. Nathan’s appointment further builds on EcoChill’s commitment to meeting the demand for much needed sustainable cold storage development and cold chain capability within New Zealand.

“Many businesses are unaware of changes occurring in cool and cold store design and construction, as we look to build a net zero emissions cold chain,” said Matthew Darby,
Founder and Managing Director of EcoChill.

“Issues such as the HFC phasedown, risk management of panel, and the move away from PUR and EPS are relatively unknown. Now more than ever there is a critical need for companies that rely on cooling to have the right information to make the right investment decisions.”

Nathan has been in the industry since 2008 and comes to EcoChill most recently from Kingspan Ltd, where he was been the North Island Area Sales Manager, specialising in cold storage panel sales.

“EcoChill are well known as experts in delivering natural refrigerant solutions,” says Nathan.
“The development of the Eastland Port cool store facility is a great example of building cold chain solutions that are responding to our emission challenges, delivering over 1 Megawatt of cooling with a low charge natural refrigerant. As leaders in natural refrigerant cooling these projects show how low emission natural refrigerant technology is not only available now, but outperforms traditional cooling technology.”

Prior to Kingspan Nathan worked within a specialist insulated panel contracting business.
Starting on the tools he developed a strong practical skills foundation before being promoted into roles leading installation teams, quantity surveying, operations, and project management.

His wide range of skills and exposure to many aspects of developing cool and cold storage solutions has given him huge insights into the challenges customers have when building new or developing cool and cold store capacity.

“Over his career Nathan has built a strong track record for quality and delivery. I know he will bring his skills and talents to support our customers to get the right outcomes that are crucial for their business, ” said Matthew. “We couldn’t have asked for a better person to support our goal of net zero cooling for New Zealand.”
