HFC phase down – Do you have a plan?
The business of cooling has been a part of the team at EcoChill for most of their lives. After working for international companies Matthew and Mark established Technicool Refrigeration in 2000 to bring some New Zealand smarts to the art of keeping things cold.
When Technicool merged with its sister company Arneg NZ in 2006 to create a one-stop-shop for commercial and retail refrigeration, the business continued to grow – developing energy efficient and environmentally focused refrigeration.
Today that growth continues, and to better reflect that strength and technical ability the business changed its name to EcoChill.
Working with our customers EcoChill has pioneered the design and installation of some of New Zealand’s first natural refrigeration systems:
- Helping organic food distributor Ceres to build New Zealand’s first Green Star 5 Star distribution center.
- Building cutting-edge natural technology kiwifruit cool stores for Turners and Growers, boosting performance, saving energy and supporting the environment.
- Partnering with Foodstuffs to deliver their natural refrigeration strategy including designing and installing the country’s first trans-critical CO2 system for New World Devonport and water-loop system for Fresh Collective Alberton.
